Partial overlap of fungal communities associated with nettle and poplar roots when co-occurring at a trace metal contaminated site

چکیده
Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.) raises growing interest in phytomanagement because it commonly grows under poplar Short Rotation Coppices (SRC) set up at trace-metal (TM) contaminated sites and provides high-quality herbaceous fibres. The mycobiome of this non-mycorhizal plant its capacity to adapt TM-contaminated environments remains unknown. This study aimed characterizing the associated with roots co-occurring a site. Plant root barcoding using fungi-specific ITS1F-ITS2 primers Illumina MiSeq technology revealed that had distinct fungal communities. was dominated by Pezizomycetes from known endophytic taxa supposedly saprotrophic genus Kotlabaea (which most abundant). Several ectomycorrhizal fungi such as Inocybe (Agaricomycetes) Tuber (Pezizomycetes) species were roots. Most present highly area whereas Agaricomycetes tended be reduced. Despite being non-mycorrhizal plant, significant proportion OTU (9.7%), suggesting some connexions between mycobiomes. Finally, our raised reconsidering networking beyond mycorrhizal interactions.

Fungal infections associated with contaminated methylprednisolone injections.
BACKGROUND Fungal infections are rare complications of injections for treatment of chronic pain. In September 2012, we initiated an investigation into fungal infections associated with injections of preservative-free methylprednisolone acetate that was purchased from a single compounding pharmacy. METHODS Three lots of methylprednisolone acetate were recalled by the pharmacy; examination of u...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Fungal communities play a key role in ecosystem functioning. However, only little is known about their composition in plant roots and the soil of biomass plantations. The goal of this study was to analyze fungal biodiversity in their belowground habitats and to gain information on the strategies by which ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi form colonies. In a 2-year-old plantation, fungal communities i...
متن کاملSpinal and Paraspinal Fungal Infections Associated With Contaminated Methylprednisolone Injections
BACKGROUND A nationwide outbreak of fungal infections was traced to injection of Exserohilum-contaminated methylprednisolone. We describe our experience with patients who developed spinal or paraspinal infection after injection of contaminated methylprednisolone. METHODS Data were assembled from the Michigan Department of Community Health, electronic medical records, and magnetic resonance im...
متن کاملIndirect host effect on ectomycorrhizal fungi: Leaf fall and litter quality explain changes in fungal communities on the roots of co-occurring Mediterranean oaks
Host trees can modify their soil abiotic conditions through their leaf fall quality which in turn may influence the ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungal community composition. We investigated this indirect interaction using a causal modelling approach. We identified ECM fungi on the roots of two coexisting oak species growing in two forests in southern Spain e Quercus suber (evergreen) and Quercus cana...
